Facility Attraction and Details

Reef Retreat NQ has a beach-front location with direct access to the sand and waves through natural sand dunes. There are accessibility options onto the beach via pathway within 100 meters at the local park.
There is no such thing as “rush hour” on Saunders Beach, as most weekdays you will have the entire 6 kilometres of beach to yourself!

The facility itself is modern with fully accessible amenities and large open plan kitchen overlooking dining areas both indoor and outdoor. The BBQ area is directly across from the walk and wheel-in pool, all overlooking the beach, ocean and offshore islands.

Activities within the facility include:

• Music – both live on stage and via jukebox making for fun karaoke nights.
• Billard Table – play in teams or against your mate.
• Movies – on the big screen with the popcorn.
• Board Games – lots of favourites including puzzles.
• Table Tennis – for serious or friendly games.
• Arts & Crafts – make a lei or driftwood & shell hanging display to take home.
• Swimming – in our walk and wheel-in pool.
• BBQ – crack out your sausage sizzle skills at our outdoor BBQ centre.

Activities outside the facility include:

• Fishing – from the beach or estuary.
• Beach Walks – with 6 kilometers to explore.
• Kite Flying, Beach cricket, footy or golf, Sandcastles, Frisbee, Scavenger Hunts.
• Collecting – look for washed up treasures along the beach.
• Climb the Saunders Beach rock and be “King of the World !”
• Local park – swings, free gas BBQ, picnic tables and amenity block.
• Saunders Beach Community Centre.
